But my mother was ill much of this year and the tree cheers her up, so I have a feeling it will be up for awhile. Maybe it will be a Valentine tree! I just store mine upside down out in the open so they don't get musty. Long story short, I did not find out that my tutu was infested with spiders, and little spider egg things, until I was on stage performing. Oh, the horror. Forget Black Swan (funny movie btw), that was an f'ing horror story. Naturally I had to finish. And lemme tell ya, these were biting spiders, and they considered things like wearing their home, and pirouettes to be threats. Hence they bit, and crawled all over me, but could not be seen from the audience.
People of the world, store your tutus. Don't let them sit out in the open. Apparently tulle looks like a big inviting spider web?? tutus and tulle should, imo, be stored in air-tight containers.Dancerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09086988297658916408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-894491133930995375.post-43026493138733885312011-01-04T07:08:33.080-08:002011-01-04T07:08:33.080-08:00Yes, you're right about the icing. One year we got into a fight when he wanted to take the tree down Dec. 26th!

Your tree looks beautiful- very creative!

I also wanted to let you know I made some of the sugar cookies from the recipe posted recently.

They came out ok- but I had trouble with the icing- I scrimped and bought store bought. But, they did taste great! Will do different icing next time!
I did manage to make at least one fire engine for my nephew, which he took home, he said he was not sure if he wanted to eat it.
